Sanjeevani-F (Trichoderma viride)

Sanjeevani-F is a biofungicide containing the antagonistic fungus i.eTrichoderma viride which is present in the soil and highly effective for the soil borne pathogens by seed treatment and soil application. This is available in liquid (1×10^6) formulation.

Mode of Action:

This biocontrol agent when applied, colonizes the seed / rhizosphere soil area of the crop and multiplies on the surface and kills not only the pathogens present on the surface of the seed but also gives protection against soil-borne pathogens until life time of the crop by actions of mycoparasitism and antibiosis.

The effective control of wide range of soil-borne diseases like Rhizoctonin solani, Macrophomina phaseolina and Fusarium spp. makes it a very important weapon against diseases such as root rot, seedling diseases, charcoal rot, wilt damping off, collar rot, etc.

Dose and Method of application:

Seedling Treatment (10ml/1liter of water): Dip the roots of the seedling for 30 min prior to planting.

Seed Treatment: 6ml of Sanjeevani-F per kg of seeds can be used along with appropriate stickers or wetting agent to coat the seeds.

Drip System (10ml/1liter of water): It can be applied through low pressure watering nozzles such as fan nozzles or other watering systems after filtering the solution carefully. Agitate to maintain suspension. For best effect, treat potting mix several days before use for seeding or transplants.

Soil Application: Mix the required quantity of Sanjeevani-F (3 liters/ ha) with 1000 Kgs of organic fertilizer and mix it well and apply uniformly. In the case of high infestation, multiple applications are recommended.

Precautions:

• Don’t use chemical fungicide after application of Sanjeevani-F for 4-5 days.
• Don’t use Sanjeevani-F in dry soil.
• Don’t put the treated seed in direct sun rays.
• Don’t keep the treated FYM for longer duration.
